All the items that I create are all made by me by hand in my workshop on the Somerset Levels.
Using a variety of timber, I ensure only the best, most character-filled pieces are turned into beautiful items of homeware for you to enjoy. The bowls & boxes are perfect as a gift for a loved one, or why not for yourself! They also make the perfect 5th Wedding Anniversary Gift, which will last a lifetime if well cared for. All of the bowls & boards are completely food safe. I can also make you a Farmhouse style table to your own dimensions, colour and finish.
If you have a specific piece in mind that you don’t see on the page, please don’t hesitate to get in touch on 07768624922
Why do you craft / make? I get a lot of satisfaction from making something useful and something that is appreciated by others and using natural materials that for the most part would have ended up on the fire.
What are your favourite projects? I like to make all sorts of things but I guess my favourite at the moment is turning bowls and then being creative with colour.
What do you do to keep yourself, space and time organised? Time is always tight for me as I have to try and balance my time between pets and my full time job.
What are your can’t live without craft essentials? My tools!
Are there any crafters / designers that you look up to? I appreciate anyone that has taken the time and effort to create something, I look up to them all.
Where do you look for inspiration? Generally ideas just pop into my head and I then have a burning ambition to make it. Quite often the wood dictates how something will look and obviously a lot of people ask for a specific item and design.
We live in such a mass-produced society, why should people continue to make things by hand? When you make something, you leave a part of yourself in it. When you are finished creating, you take pride in the work partly because you see yourself in it. Whether it’s the color, the texture, the shape, or just the mood you happen to be in, an item that has been crafted as an expression of the creative spirit of that person is treasured and valued far beyond an item that was made for worldly mass consumption.
What is your advice for people who want to start crafting / selling? Just do it! It is so rewarding.
Do you take custom request? Yes, I would say 90% of my work is from requests.
